Why London is the Best Place in the World for Laser Eye Surgery

Why London is the best place in the world for Laser Eye Surgery - London Vision Clinic

When it comes to refractive surgery, you want to know that the services and outcomes you are getting are the best. As a global city, London is well-known as a leader in finance, industry, and medicine; and so, it shouldn’t be surprising to hear that it is also one of the best places in the world for Laser Eye Surgery. Luckily, the city’s extensive global and local transport networks make getting there easier than ever.

World Class Transport Links

London boasts the largest city airspace in the world, with a total of six major airports, including the busiest airport in Europe – London Heathrow. This means there is no shortage of options when flying into the city, whether arriving from Auckland or Athens, Belfast or Belgrade.

Heathrow, for example, is a great airport from which to carry on your travels throughout London. Just 15 minutes from Paddington Station – and a further 10 minute underground ride to Baker Street (which is a short walk from London Vision Clinic) – Heathrow offers an extremely convenient means of accessing world-class Laser Eye Surgery services.

London is also famed for its underground rail network or ‘tube’, with its interlinking network of over 270 stations and 12 lines – including the recent opening of the Victoria line. The tube reaches far and wide across the capital to the city’s most well-known destinations. Here at London Vision Clinic, we are served by many underground stations including Regent’s Park, Baker Street, Great Portland Street, Warren Street, Marylebone and Oxford Circus.

The closest underground station to our practice on Harley Street is Regent’s Parl – on the Bakerloo Line – just a 5-minute walk from our door. Baker Street – just a further 5 minutes away – can be accessed on the Circle, Hammersmith & City, Jubilee, Bakerloo, and Metropolitan lines.

London also offers the advantage of a ubiquitous bus network – operating very frequently, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Numbers 18, 27, and 30 all stop on Marylebone Road, which is adjacent to our clinic on Harley Street.

London is also known globally for the quality of its hospitality and aftercare – from restaurants and hotels to attractions and healthcare services. No matter where you are arriving from, it won’t be long until you encounter a smiling Cockney, or one of the many international residents, ready and willing to offer you a helping hand.

This people-centric approach is something we are very passionate about here at London Vision Clinic. We strive to ensure that each and every one of our patients receives the best attention from our team of specialist eye care professionals – whose number greatly exceeds that of our patients. Our consultants, nursing, and surgical staff are dedicated to providing an unrivalled level of service and a personal, tailored aftercare regime to help make our patients feel completely looked after and at ease.

Our commitment to offering the highest level of service, expertise, and aftercare is what makes London Vision Clinic special.
