Can I have laser eye surgery with eyelash extensions?
Yes, if you have eye lash extensions, you are able to have laser eye surgery at the London Vision Clinic.
We do advise you to avoid certain cosmetics that are applied in or around the eye however, such as eyeliner, eye shadow and mascara up to one week after surgery and you should also wait for one week until you wear fake eyelashes or dye your hair. Other makeup like lipstick that is not applied in or around the eyes can be used safely one or two days after having laser eye surgery. It is very important that your eyes are always kept well lubricated with the medicated drops that are provided by us as you have a higher risk of developing dry eyes shortly after your laser eye surgery.
London Vision Clinic’s Lead Optometrist Alexandra Lyons talks about eyelash extensions and laser eye surgery.
