Recovery After Laser Eye Surgery
Most patients report that they are surprised by how quickly they recover after having Laser Eye Surgery. Many of our patients are completely overwhelmed with the clarity of vision almost immediately after the procedure—we were lucky enough to capture this moment on camera with ITV’s Philip Schofield. Take a look at his reaction.
Although many of our patients experience a similar revelation to Philip, it’s worth pointing out that, for some people, recovery can take a little longer – and that this is totally normal. As Laser Eye Surgery is a minimally-invasive procedure, most patients are ready to return to work 24 hours afterwards – but it is not unusual to experience some blurred vision temporarily after the procedure, which decreases as your vision stabilizes. During this time, if you do have any concerns, our expert team will be on hand to reassure you and make sure that everything is progressing as it should be.
What Our Patients Say About Their Recovery:
Karen had used visual aids for forty years when she got corrective eye surgery, and after twenty seconds she could see clearly! Her recovery was swift and smooth, and she ended up with better than 20/20 vision.
Back in 2013, Alix was a very frustrated, short-sighted individual when she walked into our clinic. She was (like others) very nervous and apprehensive about the procedure she was about to undergo. She reports how pleasant the whole experience was with London Vision Clinic was – especially the speed of her recovery period. She now has better vision than she had when she wore glasses or contact lenses! You view our 1,500+ independent reviews on TrustPilot to see that Alix is not alone in having a brilliant outcome.
