Choosing The Right Surgical Team For Laser Eye Surgery

Choosing The Right Surgical Team For Laser Eye Surgery

A recent survey conducted by London Vision Clinic has shown that 17% of people asked what was most important to them when considering a Laser Eye Surgery provider chose the surgeon and staff carrying out the procedure. London Vision Clinic’s reputation as one of the best clinics in the world is easily attributed to our expert surgeons and staff. Our surgeons are world-renowned and sought after for their extensive experience in the field, and they are supported by a hand-picked team, who are committed to providing outstanding customer service and clinical care. London Vision Clinic wants every patients to feel like a priority, not just another name on a list. We want our patients to feel special, because they are special – every case is unique and life-changing. It’s not a complicated philosophy; it’s just the right thing to do.

But don’t just take our word for it…

Edward had the procedure, and he was so happy with his results that his father found himself signing up shortly after. Edward called the whole process “incredibly well thought-through” and “efficient”. From the consultation, to the follow ups, to the unsolicited text messages by the surgeons and the professional taxi service, Edward knew that both he and his father were in excellent hands.

Sally called London Vision Clinic’s staff and surgeons “wonderful”, “caring”, and “highly professional”. She was treated with a high level of respect, and given an equally high level of care and attention. She didn’t feel like her questions were treated as trivial, and felt confident that any concerns would be treated with understanding and compassion. Every step of the way, she was reassured by the clinic’s willingness to answer her questions. Throughout the process, she had direct contact with her surgeon and was never made to feel like anything less than the highest of priorities.

At London Vision Clinic, we pride ourselves on attention to detail, and attention to every individual patient with their individual needs. We want you to feel important, because you are. It’s really that simple.

  • I suffer with both long and short sight and am over 60,will I be suitable for treatment with you

    • Hi Sandra. We have a procedure called Laser Blended Vision, which can fix both of these conditions. The vast majority of people are suitable for this procedure. As with any patient, however, we would have to see you in person in order to assess your suitability. If you would like to arrange an initial consultation, or just to ask a few questions, please give us a call on 020 7224 1005.

  • What is the difference between the wasca wavefront laser and the q lasik laser. Please reply me fast which is better among them.

    • Hi Chetna. By WASCA wavefront laser, we assume you mean the MEL90 with the WASCA aberrometer. The WASCA is one of the highest resolution wavefront sensors, so custom wavefront-guided treatments will be slightly better with this system. By 'q LASIK laser', we assume you are talking about the WaveLight Eye-Q laser. The WaveLight is a very good laser, but the main difference is that it doesn’t have Laser Blended Vision, so it can’t do the presbyopia treatments that the MEL90 can do (Laser Blended Vision is London Vision Clinic's minimally-invasive treatment for correcting age-related deterioration - presbyopia - without the use of lens implants). The MEL90 is also slightly faster as it is 500 Hz, not 400 Hz – but this doesn’t have any significant impact on results. To answer any further (for example, if you are asking which would be preferable in your individual case) we would need to see you in person, and perform an eye exam to check your refractions (among other tests). If you would like to book an appointment, or ask any further questions, please call us on 020 7224 1005. We look forward to hearing from you.
