The right surgeons for patients that demand world-class treatment

If you’re considering laser eye surgery, the one thing you should never compromise on is surgical skill. Only the very best eye surgeons can offer the lowest possible risk. And we are convinced you won’t find a more qualifiedexperienced or dedicated surgeon than you will at the London Vision Clinic.

However plush the premises, convincing the optometrist, or advanced the ophthalmic equipment and technology, the success of your surgery ultimately depends on just one thing: the quality of your laser eye surgeon. If you can find eye surgeons more skilled and specialised than ours, then our advice, in all seriousness, would be to opt for them.

We don’t expect that to happen though. We believe our surgical expertise is second to none. Over their careers, our highly specialised eye surgeons have carried out thousands of laser eye treatments, often in cases too complex or unusual for most other surgeons. Indeed, other eye specialists who know of our international reputation refer patients to the London Vision Clinic.

Uncompromising standards

The Clinic was founded by Professor Dan Reinstein, a pioneering laser eye surgeon and one of the few Ophthalmic Surgeons in the UK to have dedicated his professional life exclusively to laser eye surgery.

Professor Reinstein studied at Cambridge and Cornell universities, and holds professorships in New York and Paris. He continues to lead the development of ground-breaking treatments such as PRESBYOND® Laser Blended Vision (for ageing eyes) and High Profile treatments for very high prescriptions. Read more about Professor Reinstein.

In 2006, Professor Reinstein selected Mr Glenn Carp as one of the few Ophthalmic Surgeons in the world to have successfully completed the training necessary to work alongside him as the second member of the Clinic’s surgical team.

One of the UK’s most highly trainedlaser eye surgeons, Mr Carp began his distinguished career in his native South Africa, before coming to Britain in 2005. Here, he was chosen for a prestigious one-year fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment Pathology and Surgery at London’s Western Eye Hospital, and undertook an 18-month fellowship in Laser Refractive Surgery at the London Vision Clinic before joining Professor Reinstein’s team.Read more about Mr Carp.
