There’s a 98% chance we can help you!

Some clinics turn away up to 20% of people as they believe that they do not meet the conditions for laser eye surgery. But that doesn’t always mean those people can’t be helped. More often, it just means that specific clinic can’t help them. The London Vision Clinic can treat 98% of those who come to us.

Why do so many more patients meet the conditions for laser eye surgery at the London Vision Clinic? There are four reasons: [arrow_list]

  • Our eye surgeons, Professor Reinstein and Mr Carp are among the very best in the world.
  • We believe in helping all patients, not just the quick and easy cases.
  • We take the time to deeply analyse each patient’s eyes, and have the expertise to customise treatments for each eye.
  • We offer specialised eye treatments seldom found elsewhere.

Many clinics aim to ensure consistent results, and a quick turnaround, by focusing on the least complicated cases. Many simply do not have the experience or expertise to tackle more complex or unusual conditions. The London Vision Clinic is different on both counts. Find out if you meet our conditions for laser eye surgery now.

Why do many not meet the conditions for eye surgery?

Many people fail to meet eye surgery conditions and are rejected by other clinics for one of the following reasons, both of which are misconceptions:

1: Laser surgery cannot treat very high prescriptions

Our pioneering High Profile treatments were developed for those with very high prescriptions. Thanks to our uniquely rigorous screening process, we are able to safely treat many cases that other surgeons, with less detailed knowledge of your eyes, would consider borderline.

Using the revolutionary Artemis Insight 100™ scanner, co-invented by Professor Reinstein, we can map each individual layer of your cornea to within one micron – 1,000th of a millimetre. This is critical for very high prescriptions, where we need to remove more corneal tissue than usual. Mapping the cornea in microscopic detail means we know exactly how much we can safely remove. Learn more about how our High Profile treatments can help you.

2: Laser surgery cannot treat the effects of ageing Again, the London Vision Clinic is well ahead of the pack. Professor Reinstein developed a technique called PRESBYOND® Laser Blended Vision, which has already helped hundreds of patients meet eye surgery conditions and discard their reading glasses. In PRESBYOND® Laser Blended Vision, one eye is adjusted to see mostly at a distance, and a little up close. The other sees mostly up close, and a little at a distance. When the brain combines the two, patients find they can see both far and near without glasses or contact lenses. Learn more about PRESBYOND® Laser Blended Vision.
