Do Most Patients Requiring Laser Blended Vision Require Laser Eye Treatment In One Eye Or Two?
Mr Glenn Carp – “Laser Blended Vision only works if both eyes are treated. The reason being if you treat, for example, someone whose eyes are relatively good for distance offhandedly and you only treat one eye to bring in the near, it means that eye is good now for near and intermediate but the distance eye is only set up for distance and that is by its natural focusing mechanism. So by convention, both eyes need to be treated. There may be only a very small prescription in the distance eye but we need instill the profile change to allow the boost which will help them with their full range of vision in both eyes.”
