Why London Is The Best Place In The World For Laser Eye Surgery
There’s no doubt London is a leading global city, particularly when it comes to education, R&D, professional services, and healthcare. And so, it may be unsurprising to hear that London is one of the best cities in the world for Laser Eye Surgery. With that being said, you will be pleased to know that with its major international air transport and rail hubs, you won’t have any trouble in getting here.
World Class Transport Links
Boasting the largest city airspace in the world, along with the busiest airport in Europe—London Heathrow—there are no shortage of options when flying into the city.
London Heathrow has reason to be so busy: it is the hub for international flights in and out of the UK. Whether you are flying from Auckland or Athens, Belfast or Belgrade, Heathrow provides an ideal destination to arrive at and begin your travels through the city.

With its express train link to many of London’s rail stations—including London Paddington, just a 10 minute underground ride to Baker Street (which is a short walk from London Vision Clinic)—it offers a highly convenient and efficient means of getting yourself from A to B.
You may know London for its underground rail network or ‘tube’; With its interlinking network of 270 stations and 11 lines, the tube reaches far and wide to many of the city’s most well known destinations. Here at London Vision Clinic, we are served by many underground stations including Regent’s Park, Baker Street, Great Portland Street, Warren Street, Marylebone and Oxford Circus.
Closest to our practice on Harley Street you will find Regent’s Park on the Bakerloo line, just a 5 minute walk from our door, and just 5 minutes further you will find Baker Street station on the Circle, Hammersmith & City, Jubilee, Bakerloo, and Metropolitan line.
If you are arriving by bus, you can get even closer by taking advantage of London’s ubiquitous network operating very frequently, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Numbers 18, 27 and 30 stop on Marylebone Road adjacent to Harley Street.
High Quality After Care
Something London is known for—but this time mostly by residents and those returning from a visit—is the quality of hospitality and aftercare that is on offer. From restaurants and hotels to attractions and healthcare services, it doesn’t take long before you encounter a smiling Cockney, or one of the many international residents, ready and willing to offer you a helping hand.
That people centred approach is something we feel very passionate about here at London Vision Clinic. Each and every one of our patients is granted the devoted attention of our team of specialist eye care professionals—whose number greatly exceeds that of our patients. This enables us to provide an unrivalled level of service and a personal, tailored aftercare regime which helps to make our patients feel completely looked after and at ease.
Yes you may pay a little more with us, but that’s because we are committed to delivering only the best results, and we offer that special something most other clinics don’t.
Professor Dan Reinstein
Along with the abundance of homegrown talent emerging from London’s 43 universities, many of the world’s greatest minds flock to the city for its culture, diversity, and sea of opportunities. One such mind is Professor Dan Reinstein, the founder and leader of our team here at London Vision Clinic.
With a career spanning over 25 years, Prof Reinstein is an internationally renowned and uniquely experienced ophthalmic surgeon. Some of his greatest achievements include his pioneering work in the development of the Artemis™—the world’s most accurate corneal scanner; his contribution to the new, minimally invasive ReLEx SMILE procedure; and of course his success with London Vision Clinic.
