How Will I Know If I Need An Enhancement?

The vast number of patients undergoing Laser Eye Surgery do not require an enhancement. However, traditionally about 10% to 20% of patients could do with some fine tuning a few months after the surgery.  Most patients will not regress and their prescription will not drift from the intended target. If patients are experiencing blurry vision either at distance or near, and in their postoperative consultations we are able to improve on that with glasses, we can also improve vision with an enhancement.

Because we will be examining you at 1 day, 1-3 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months, we will have plenty of opportunities to assess your progress, satisfaction with your vision, and discuss any options that may be safe and effective with the aim of improving your results.

Mr Glenn Carp talks about how rarely an enhancement is needed. However, this can be achieved and recognised via the aftercare service at London Vision Clinic.

I was very frightened about having the surgery. Almost to the point of not being able to speak. I am so pleased that I went through with it as I can now read recipes, cooking instructions, books – the list is endless. People now ask me to read things for them!! Never would have dreamt that.
